Europeana shares creative ideas for digital engagement in the time of COVID-19

European cultural organisations are looking for creative ways to engage their audiences during these difficult times. Europeana highlights resource, tools and ideas from around the world  which offer creative ways to share cultural heritage online.

Some of the ideas were, conducting transcription crowdsourcing to enrich the historical documents and enable people to meet at this platform; recreating famous paintings; sharing their experiences due to corona virus and conducting webinars for professionals in the cultural sector and so on. In times like these when people are trapped inside their homes for an indefinite period of time, the efforts of cultural institutions to engage their audiences free for is heartening.
