Additional EU support is required to support media in some member states whose revenue has dropped to 80%.
The cultural and creative sectors in Europe are decimated by the crisis, especially the individual artists who find it harder to avail support from the EU. The members of the European Parliament’s Culture and Education Committee stress the need for EU to provide emergency funds to the media and individual artists to help them to survive this crisis.
