Flood reveals Roman sarcophagus in Turkey

A late Roman sarcophagus was found in Muğla, Turkey, after a flood in the area. Experts from the local municipal museum have begun work in the area to date the sarcophagus more accurately and to be able to offer more details. The museum is also in charge of the protection of the sarcophagus and its contents.
