During excavation work in the ancient city of Patara, on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, a Viking sword has been found which is thought to be over 1.000-years old. Although it is unknown how the sword has come to travel the long distance to the city in the Antalya Province, the find is not the first viking sword which has been found here. In 2010 another specimen was found date back around 1.000 B.C.
