First Cultural Route in Romania certified: Wooden Churches in Bihor County. The Romanian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environments believes that the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe can promote cultural heritage in Romania. Besides, the ministry believes that certifications can raise awareness among tourism stakeholders.
According to the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, the National Route of Historic Towns and Spas and the National Route of Romanian Wine are also in the process to be certified.
The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe are an invitation to discover the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Europe by bringing people and places together in networks of shared history and heritage.
