The tour includes the ‘House with the Garden’ with its triclinium frescoes and painted portico, and the ‘House of Orion’ with its First Style paintings and the mosaic of Orion. The tour shows the ‘Room with Skeletons’ in ‘House with the Garden’ where the fossilised skeletons of 11 victims of the volcanic eruption are preserved. The ancient city of Pompeii was covered with hot pumice and ash after the volcanic eruption in 79 A.D. Mostly women and children took refuge from the catastrophe in this house but in vain.
