Greece’s powerful Central Archaeological Council decided this after angry campaign by locals against the blocking of the view of the Acropolis and Parthenon from the citizens.
It is not known why they were unable to determine whether or not the hotel would block the view earlier. The hotel in question, COCO-MAT Athens BC on Falirou Street has been operational for an year and is yet to determine how it is going to demolish the two floors.
