German museums prepare to reopen, gradually and with precautions

The smaller museums in Germany open their doors to the public for the first time since the lockdown as Germany prepares to ease lockdown restrictions.

But of course as the lockdown continues, precautions and measures are to be followed: special time-slots for vulnerable groups, providing visitors with masks upon request, disallowing group tours and making audio-tour guides available only if disinfecting the equipment is possible before and after every use.

It will be some time before the bigger museums which are major tourist attractions reopen.
