Have you ever heard of a soundscape archaeologist? BBC Travel interviewed soundscape archaeologist Mylène Pardoën. Pardoën is reproducing the sounds that were heard inside and outside the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, from its construction in the 13th century until the 2019 fire.
“I tell stories from the past not with words, but with sounds,” Pardoën told BBC Travel.
