French heritage experts approve controversial Notre-Dame redesign

The National Heritage and Architecture Commission has approved the redesign of the interior of the Notre-Dame, including street art installations and softer mood lighting. This is despite an opinion piece from 100 public figures saying that the plans “entirely undermine the decor and religious space” of the cathedral.
