The Estonian Maritime Museum and The Tallinn University are pleased to invite everyone interested to the workshop “Digital Data in the Service of Cultural Heritage”, which will take place on the 24th and 25th of November 2021 in Tallinn, Estonia.

This year, our workshop welcomes presentations on various uses of digital data and big datasets in the study, research and management of cultural heritage – from innovative methods and theoretical perspectives to best practices and inevitable challenges. Researchers from any background and any sector of cultural heritage are welcome. The topics may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Spatial data and 3D recording;
  • Big datasets in cultural heritage and the environment;
  • Novel uses of digital data and technologies in cultural heritage;
  • Theory and management of big datasets: in museums, historical buildings and/or archaeological research, historical weather reconstructions, etc.
