The Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and the European Institute of Cultural Routes, in cooperation with the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization, the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania, the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of Chania, and the Historic Cafes Route are pleased to announce that the 11th Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Annual Advisory Forum will take place on 5 -7 October 2022 in Chania, Crete, Greece.

This year’s Forum will be devoted to the theme, “Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: Safeguarding European Values, Heritage, and Dialogue”. The 2022 Chania Forum will be the opportunity to underline the growing relevance of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe methodology and practices in promoting Europe’s shared cultural heritage and intercultural dialogue while fostering sustainable local development.

The programme will include general panels with discussion, thematic and special sessions, certification ceremonies for newly 2022 certified “Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe”, as well as Best Practice Awards.

The Forum is an invitation-only event. Nonetheless, the proceedings of the Forum will be shared on our website after the event.
