The new website of the European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative offers an open access database of 1500 Jewish cemetries in Greece, Lithuania, Moldova, Slovakia, and Ukraine. Data about each cemetry – including aerial photographs, historical data and geographical data – will be uploaded as the research of each cemetry is completed.In January, the European Jewish Cemetries Initiative received € 800,000 from the European Union.Read the full article at Jewish Heritage Europe.
