The new EU funded peer learning project Cultural Heritage in Action will allow over 100 local and regional policymakers to exchange knowledge on cultural heritage, with a focus on participatory governance of cultural heritage, adaptive reuse of heritage buildings and quality principles for interventions on cultural heritage.

Cultural Heritage in Action is one of the actions of the European Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage, published in December 2018 by the European Commission to sustain the legacy of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

Cultural Heritage in Action will compile a catalogue of 30 good practices from EU cities and regions. Based on this selection, the project will organise 12 peer learning visits, bringing 20+ participants per visit.

Cultural Heritage in Action is looking for 30 local practices that are innovative and inspiring for other cities and regions and that have a real impact on the ground. A call to identify these practices is open to local and regional administrations until 27 March 2020. Submit a practice!

A call for participation in the peer learning visits will be launched in June 2020. Stay tuned!

Cultural Heritage in Action is led by EUROCITIES, in partnership with KEA, ERRIN, Europa Nostra and Architects’ Council of Europe. The project is funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
