Three months since the Notre-Dame fire, Europeana Collections has launched an online exhibition on ‘Heritage at Risk’. Available in seven languages, ‘Heritage at Risk’ explores the threats facing cultural heritage sites and highlights the importance of the digitisation of cultural heritage.
The exhibition’s final chapter focuses on the Notre-Dame fire and shows how digital technology is a key part of the conversation around the cathedral’s restoration – with technologies such as 3D scanning and modelling, and virtual and augmented reality.
