The conclusions on risk management of cultural heritage highlights the importance of protecting cultural heritage against the various types of threats such as natural hazards, climate change and man-made disasters. It also recognise that crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic have a huge negative financial impact on the cultural and creative sectors.
Member states have been invited to identify innovative tools and approaches for risk identification, prevention and mitigation. The report conclusion also raises awareness that disaster prevention and preparedness require intervention and planning on multiple levels in order to be able to adequately respond to risks.
