The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme continued to thrive during 2019. With the accession of Latvia and the Observer status of Albania, Ireland and Sweden, the 33 member States of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe increased their political and strategic support to the programme. The prestigious label “Cultural Route of the Council of Europe” was awarded to 5 new cultural routes, further expanding both networks’ themes and geographic coverage to include a growing number of destinations in South East and Eastern Europe.
