A 16th-century painting was stolen from a church in Zele, Belgium, just a few days before it was to be assessed by an expert to find out whether it is a lost work by the famous painter Michelangelo. The work depicts Mary, Joseph and a baby Jesus and was donated 16 years ago by
Etienne Cooreman, a former Belgian senator.
