The Belgian Lambic beer production is threatened by climate change, according to a report commissioned by the Belgian National Climate Commission.

The report, ‘Evaluation of the socio-economic impact of climate change in Belgium’, provides an overview of climate change impacts per sector. For the traditional Belgian Lambic beer production, climate change has an impact on two important levels: the potential number of brewing days and the storage of the Lambic beer which has been brewed for the past years.
